This book states they were the Kuuso Indians(Casseques) and lived along the land between Stono, Ashley and Edisto Rivers, an area of about 12,000 acres along Hwy 61 and moved off of it 1675; this is from book "So Car. Indians and Indian Traders and Other Ethnic Connections". frances ----- Original Message ----- From: "by way of Steve Coker <stevenjcoker@netzero.net>" <Thenorthface8@aol.com> To: <SCROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2001 16:17 PM Subject: [SC] cassique indians > Yes, i am an employee at the new golf course on Kiawah.
