I have been doing a comprehensive study of Sumter, SC Watsons who moved there from Johnston, NC in the early 1800s. I need to know better how they descended from Johnston, NC and Maryland clans. Are you sure about the NC in Johnston. There is a Johnston, SC in Edgefield County where lots of Watsons lived and still live.
