Teresa, my gggrandfather was Robert Chisholm born ca 1819 either in south carolina or georgia. I have been told he was an orphan and lived at the Bethesda orphange in Savannah. He married Charity Still from south carolina october 8, 1840. Robert died november 17, 1896 and Charity died August 28, 1900. They are buried at the Empire church cemetary in Lanier county, georgia. I would love find out more information on both of them but I have hit a brick wall. Don't know if he might be connected to you. If I come across anything I will let you know and if you do and think there's a connection I would love to hear from you.
