What really upset me was Ancestry.com incorrectly listed various individual's place of birth as Michigan, when the enumerator had abbreviated Mississippi in the old way of Miss. or Mis. It lead many people I am sure who were researching ancestors in Carroll, Lee, and surrounding counties in Mississippi, to start looking in Michigan. I tried my best to find a way to get them to correct it, but no one even answered my request to take a look at it. You really have to be careful with all of the Internet sources.
