I also have an 2 Jeremiah Sailors/Saylors names, one of which I have no parents or birth date: 1. Jerermiah Sailors was in Henry Co., GA; some of his descendants went to Whitfield Co.,GA. This info was passed on to me from another researcher. I once though this Jeremiah was a son of my Christopher Sailors in GA but family members say he is not. 2. Jeremiah Sailors b.c.1774, VA d.23 Aug 1853 Pike Co., OH marr. Christina Kimball. They had 7 or 8 children, among which is Sarah Sailors b.March 1808 d.11 Apr 1889 marr. William Steen. No children listed. This Jeremiah Sailors is the son of Peter Sailors b.c.1741 and Mary Holloway who were married in Philadelphia, PA. Peter's children: Mary, Jeremiah, Sarah, Elizabeth, Joseph. A Peter Salyers is mentioned, along with other family members, in some deeds. Here is one of them: DEED: Abstracts of Lincoln/Tyron Co. Deeds Vol.2, pp 781-782: 27 Aug 1774, George Leonard SAILOR of Tyron Co., deed to Devold CRITES of same, for L100 proc. money...land on middle fork of Killions Creek, adj. Francis BEATY, 240 acres purchased by SAILOR of Ulrick CROWDER, and said CROWDER of Peter SEALOR, (sic), Jr., and granted to Peter SEALOR, Sr.. 10 Apr 1761...(German signature)(Seal), Wit: Jacob SEIDS, Peter CREITS (German signature).
