Ann Crowley and I will be in Newberry on Monday October 17th 2005 to work with several local volunteers on getting the measurements of each tombstone in the Bush River Cemetery. This is a part of the project that we weren't able to tackle on the June 18th Survey Day. We want to preserve every detail possible about each tombstone and, of course, size is a primary factor in identification. If you are available that day, we invite you to join us. Although the work itself might not be too fascinating, you will never find a greater bunch of fellow workers! And there is always the possibility of new discoveries such as the 6 new tombstones we uncovered in June. We will probably be at the Cemetery from, say, 11 am to 3 pm since, unfortunately, Ann and I have to allow some time for travel. I hope that some of you might be able to join us. If you are thinking of coming, would you let me know, please, so we can be on the look out for you. Best wishes, Judy Russell (706) 543-2225 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Directions: South from downtown Newberry on College Street.
