    3. In what years are you interested? I will have to look to confirm it, but I think John Edmunds [aka Chicken] and his brother Isaac Chicken settled on property in Robeson Co. , or what was the area, in the late 1700s or early 1800s. This property may have been given to his mother and them by Isaac Jennerette. John was a grandson of Col. George and Catherine Chicken of Berkeley Co. , SC. George Chicken was in SC at least as early as the 1690s when he paid a big tax while in Goose Creek. I have proposed that George Chicken was one of the privateers who had been given the king's warrant to harass the moguls in the Red Sea before settling in Goose Creek. As you might guess, I am a "Chicken chaser".
