Actually I've been away from research for awhile dealing with a major household move during the holidays. One correction.....I am also descended through Jesse Lazarus McLeod's SECOND wife, Mary Rosa Ives. Margaret "Maggie" Josey was Jesse's first wife. Maggie died in childbirth with twins in 1894. Jesse and Mary Rosa were married later that year and had one child, Donald Ross McLeod. The Jesse L. about whom Dawn is inquiring was the child of one of Jesse and Maggie's children and here it gets interesting.....Jesse L was the son of Mary Rosa Ives McLeod 's uncle....so Dawn and I are related in at least two different ways in a clear visable way but a little further back.... Jesse L. the first's mother was a Josey grandchild (mother Martha Josey Yates) and the second cousin of Jesse's wife Maggie! If I can help in any way, please visit my website!
