William Beard is married to Sarah Frierson daughter of said Aaron Frierson. The main Frierson Family researcher, Mead Frierson can not find an unidentified Sarah Frierson of the right age and location to be the wife of George Byrd of Sumter District and MS. The assumption that the wife of George Byrd must be a Frierson was made based on the use of Frierson in the name of Samuel Ephriam Frierson Byrd who is either the son or grandson of George and Sarah () Byrd. Some researchers of George's family have placed SEF Byrd as the son of Donnon Byrd. George and Sarah's son Redden has always been listed as having only one wife Hannah Scott, but research in Sumter District indicates that Redden most likely was married first to Mason Coker who died around 1820 and apparently had no children for her husband Redden received all of her inheritance for her father.
