    3. The church records for Prince Williams Primitive Baptist Church from 1812-1937 are recorded on one roll of microfilm at Furman University in Greenville, SC. This church was located in Beaufort District and then (and now) Hampton County, SC. This microfilm is available through interlibrary loan in SC, and as far as I know they are not available in any book. My husband thinks there is a cemetery there, but I do not remember if there is one. If so, I have never seen a survey of it. Many of the members of the early families are buried in other cemeteries in the area, especially in the Bowers cemetery, or the Rivers cemetery which can be found at http://sciway3.net/clark/hampton/cemetery.html. 3. To order films from the Furman Univ. Baptist Church Historical collection mentioned by Pattie below, have you public library order from the following: Baptist Historical Collections Furman University Library 3300 Poinsett Hwy. Greenville, SC 29613 To view the microfilmed records available (some churches have not copied their records), go to Web site: http://library.furman.edu./ Click on Library Services, Click on special collections, click on Church Records. Send name of Church, county, and years needed. (that information is given on the web site) I have gone thru the records of several Baptist church records from the Old Edgefield Dist and have found wonderful records of deaths, and intriguing records on family who were removed from the church for drinking, dancing, and interesting other items. Marriages can be inferred from the records. However, Baptist record Baptism records, not birth records, so that info. is not available thru the church records. Good luck, Billie Jones Camden, SC [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pattie Rivers" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 15, 2003 9:46 PM Subject: [SC] Prince William Baptist Church > The church records for Prince Williams Primitive Baptist Church from 1812-1937 are recorded on one roll of microfilm at Furman University in Greenville, SC.
