The Harbins came to South Carolina from England by way of Barbados first arriving in South Carolina in the late 1600s. John and Joseph Harbin were Quaker while living in Barbados. The Harbins are believed to have migrated from Charleston to Camden, SC since it also had a Quaker Meeting House. The same Harbins (William & John) came to Greenville County, SC from Camden in the late 1700s. settling along Rocky Creek in the eastern part of the county. I am a seventh (7th) generation Greenville countyman descending from Andrew Vandever (son of John), Simeon, James William. and Arthur H.). Would appreciate any information about their migration from Barbados to present.
