Louis did your McLure's keep the spelling McLure or did they turn it to McClure? I am very interested in this because the gggggrfa from Ms. I'm am almost positive has a fa from SC; they say there's a book in Ms. that states his fa b. Pa.? and that's where the info stops, no name for the man place date etc. and I believe he like the rest of the bunch were from SC; found James and Wm. McClure's in SC in earlier census if I remember correctly(found my gggggrfa 10 yrs. ago) and his name was Wm. McClure and his bro was James. I believe the name John is in that same family, not used in our later descendents but I believe they tie in at an earlier date. frances fmcw@ktc.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kifle Tesfamariam Tewelde" <ktewelde@interbaun.com> To: <SCROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 26, 2001 7:27 AM Subject: [SC] Need to find Stewart and McLure Cemetaries > Som of my Stewart ancestors came from South Carolina, and am asking subscribers if they know of any private Stewart and McLure cemetaries in the State. I am looking at the years 1720 onward. Thank you.
