Posted on: The SCRoots Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/Sponsor/SCRoots/625 Surname: King, Blunt, Blount ------------------------- Family records show that Mary Malendia King was born in SC in 1816.We beleive that her father was named William King, born in 1795 in VA or AL and his wife was named Lucinda, born in 1789 in GA, because of information in 1837 census of Tishomingo County, MS. She married William Jackson Blunt/Blount before 1836 place unknown. They had the following children: Susan C.(perhaps Caroline) 1836, Zilpha Elizabeth abt 1837, William Washington 1838 in AL,Andrew J."Andy"1844 in AL,Cynthia A.abt 1849 in AL, James Jesse Sep 5, 1850 in AL, Francis Marion Aug 10 1852, Shelby County TX and Emma1854 in MS. Mary M. died 1892 in Tishomingo County, MS and is burried in Paradise Cemetery. The only information on her SC birth is the listing in the census records. If this sounds like a match to anyone, I will be glad to share what records I have on the children.
