1 - Timothy RIVES b. 1710 at VA; d. aft. 1772 probably in SC + Hester TURNER b. abt. 1710 2 - Timothy RIVES b. abt. 1748 at Brunswick, VA; d. 8 Jun 1821 at Richland, SC + Priscilla TURNER b. abt. 1750; d. 26 Mar 1817 at Richland, SC 3 - Sterling Williamson RIVES b. abt. 1802 at Richland, SC; d. abt. 1864 in Petersburg, VA (was he killed in the War Between the States?) + Louisa Turner b. abt. 1802 4 - John Turner RIVES b. abt. 1826; d. abt 1896 I am planning a trip to South Carolina later this month and would like to do further research on the RIVES and TURNER families. I have this line from my grandmother's Colonial Dames papers and from additional research she did back in the 1970's. Unfortunately, she copied most of the interesting stuff in pencil and it is too faded to read well. Any additional information on these families (I have Reliques of the Ryves) would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions on where to go and what to look for would also be helpful. Thanks!
