    1. Re: [SC] Hendricks DNA Project Update
    2. Herb: Your DNA projects are just overwhelming and most impressive. I am hoping that you can give me some direction in starting with DNA in my family. My husband was adopted and never knew it until he was 37 years old at which time he was told that he was part Indian. He certainly does not look the least bit Indian more like 100% Scotch-Irish. Our soon who is now 45 years old really wants to know "who he really is". I am hoping that you can give me some direction in quenching my son's thirst for the truth as to "who he really is." It would be greatly appreciated if you could just give me some direction as to where to start to prove that he is really Indian from the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland. His family has lived in Florida since the l920s.I am hoping that you will tell me that a simple salvia test would answer his many questions. Thanking you in advance for any assistance you may be able to render. I would be most happy to pay you for your services. Sincerely, Bonnie Marsh Tampa, Florida

    1. Re: [SC] Counties of each state
    2. By the way, did you know there was an 1895 Atlas online that is just terrific? Just in case, here is the URL: _http://www.livgenmi.com/1895/_ (http://www.livgenmi.com/1895/) In a message dated 7/3/2006 10:48:01 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Oldnail@aol.com writes: Janie, Thanks for sharing. I see you mention SC but did you mean SD? I don't see SC on the list at your site. You could always send an email to the list for the states as you complete them. I am pretty sure that each state would have an email list. It is wonderful of you to share.

    3. Tony, I do believe that branch is a waterway term. What we now call creeks and rivers, are in some places known as branches and runs. Kentucky and Virginia (W.VA?) are places that use these terms. I'll let the experts provide midcourse correction where I need it. Sparks Tony L.
