    1. [SC] Burnett - Some Greenwood , SC death Data.
    2. Lee and Billie Jones
    3. H.C. , Dee and others on the lists. I went to Greenwood and researched at Harley Funeral Home. They bought out the earlier Ellis Funeral Home and have records from 1917. Only did the earlier 17 books, many of which were barely filled out. No spouces were filled in. Lots of Burnetts and some others that are connected to my line. Decided to put them all in one message - use which ever ones you need. Am sending it to several SC lists and the Burnett list. Any additions and/or corrections would be much appreciated. Posted on: The SCRoots Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Sponsor/SCRoots/473 Surname: THORNTON, EARHART, AIRHART, HAYES ------------------------- Looking for information on ggg-grandparents James and Caroline Hayes Thornton who were in Hollow Creek Townshhip in 1870 (household #105, Family #105) and Saluda Township in 1880 (household #184, family #184) on censuses. The children were Melvin, James Snelgrove, perhaps a James Airhart; Green Thornton (married Hattie Boozer); Henry, Columbus Frank, Pearson, Julia, John, and Mary Thornton. Who were they and where were they before 1870. Who were their parents? James Airthart, Green, Columbus and Lizzie Thorton moved to Arkansas. Pearson seemed to have remained in Lexington County. Don't know what happened to the others. Any help certainly appreciated. I'm sure they were slaves. Were Hollow Creek and Saluda Townships plantation areas? What was their situation. Thank you for any and all help. Maggie Ponds

    2. Fred Carlile
    3. Hi Augie, I don't remember if we have emailed before but I have some questions for you. I see you have Nathaniel Marion and and Jane McCants on your Gedcom. On the 1820 Charleston census Nathaniel is listed as having a large tract of land with slaves and living next to Mary Winter Carlile (widow of Alexander Carlile and gr-daughter of Margarite McCants Winter) and next to Margaret Winters Durant (gr-daughter of Margarite). As I recall Nathaniel listed about 50 slaves but he and Jane are not there. I believe he is listed as being in Abbeville and while there he witnessed a Carlile will. For years I have tried to tie the Williamsburg/Charleston Carliles together but with little sucess. On the 1790 census of SC there are 7 Carliles and 4 of them are from Abbeville. Can you shed any light on this subject. Regards, Fred Carlile Angie Rayfield wrote: > > I'm still here :) > > angie > > At 10:21 AM 11/02/2000 -0600, you wrote: > >Is this e-mail address sill good?

    1. [SC] 1820 RICHLAND COUNTY CENSUS
    2. Bill and Dottie slocomb
    3. Does anyone have access to the 1820 Richland County Census that could do a look up for me? I ran across a book at the Dallas County Library and did not have a copy of a census sheet with me. I think I failed to write down one of the columns because when I got home, the information that I had written down did not fit the census sheets. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dottie slocomb@flash.net
