Well, I'm up here in frosty Michigan, today a balmy 18 degrees F, up from -8, thinking of y'all tossing back cold drinks and downing prawns! As long as the snow is gone by December 26, all will be fine. :) Sandy Redmond Webmaster, Calhoun County MIGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~micalhou
I have searched a long time for my Carlisle-Coleman connection, can anyone help? Lewis A. Coleman wrote this story about an event that happen Dec.17,1867. His parents were Robert Henry Coleman and Julia Feaster. Grandparents-Hiram Henry Coleman,Eliza Beam. GGP-Robert Roe Coleman,Nancy Coleman. GGGP Robert Coleman, Elizabeth Roe(Fairfield Co.SC). GGGGP Robert Coleman,Francis Mathis(1st), Susan Unk(2nd)(Halifax Co.NC). There was Carlisle's and Coleman's in both Halifax Co. and Edgecombe Co. NC. My Carlisle is Alexander Carlisle. His sons were Alexander, David Nathaniel And Jehu(John). I believe my Alexander Carlisle was related to Nathaniel in Halifax or Robert in Edgecombe or BOTH. I also realize Aunt Eliza b.1810 could be Coleman or a Feaster. Can anyone help with this problem. Lynn, I don't have anything on Nancy Scott Arnold nor is any of my line near Winnsboro, SC. Much of the Andrea's information is contained in the Arnold Family Association of the South Newslettes of years ago. The AFAS Newsletters are being put online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/special/afas/myspecial.htm and can be searched, browsed, or downloaded. The work is only about half done, but one of the early newsletters which contains a lot of SC information is already on the site. Regards, Dick Arnold --- PRIDELIN@aol.com wrote: > Hi. Posted on: The SCRoots Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/Sponsor/SCRoots/522 Surname: Bunton ------------------------- I am researching my BUNTON line and I am in hopes that someone can help me with it! I can go back as far as ROBERT BUNTON born 1803 in South Carolina and died in Texas, possibly in the Cass Co. area. His daughter, MARY E. BUNTON was born in 1835 in Tennessee and died in Texas. She married James Allen born ca 1832 Tennessee. Their son, WILLIAM B. ALLEN was born March 8, 1857 in Cass Co., Texas and died in Jan. 1918 in a Terrell, Kaufman Co., Texas hospital and was buried there. WILLIAM B. ALLEN married PATSY MINERVA HENDERSON, daughter of ARCHIBALD HENDERSON and ELIZABETH ANN SIMS. WILLIAM and PATSY ALLEN's daughter, MARTHA ELLEN ALLEN, was my grandmother. Please email me at HappeeNotes@aol.com. Thank you!!
