This is according to the 1900 Oregon Census. His wife was Birtha Larm. She claims to have been born in Sweden Sept. 1867. Thier children were all born in Ka. so far as I know. They were Luther(My husbands father) John, Arthur. And another child born in Oregon in 1893. According to the US census of 1900, they most likely left Oregon sometime after Arthur was born in 1887. If you can help with knowing more about this elusive Deringer family, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Bonnie Deringer

White and ornate describes many old Charleston Churches. The French Huguenot Church is at the corner of Church Street and Queen Street across from the Dockstreet Theatre. But, it isn't called St. James. It is called the French Huguenot Church. At http://yp.bellsouth.com/ you will find the following. THE FRENCH HUGUENOT CHURCH-OFFICE 44 QUEEN ST, CHARLESTON, SC 29401, (843) 722-4385 More information on Charleston Churches can be found at: http://sciway.net/org/relig.html http://sciway.net/tourism/chaschurches.html _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. [SC] DIXON OR DICKSON
    2. Tree Mother, I'm sorry but I have nothing other than the name John (Dixon) Dickson. My information starts with his daughter and Elizabeth (Dixon) Dickson Kennedy and goes from then. The only reason that I know that she was born in NC is that is the place of birth that was recorded in the 1870 Federal Census. I have her father listed as John, however, the only source I have for that information is a family bible. For some reason Elizabeth's mother's name was not listed. Fred Hawthorne JFHawthorn@AOL.com

    1. [SC] ELIZABETH (DICKSON) DIXON
    2. Joby, in response to your February 5th request for descendants of the subject Elizabeth Dixon. I have an Elizabeth (Dixon) Dickson who was the daughter of a John (Dixon) Dickson. This Elizabeth was born in North Carolina on 09/04/1784, married Gilbert Kennedy, Jr., and died in Mississippi on 11/06/1862. Could be the same Dixon family, however, this Elizabeth seems to be about two generations older than yours. Perhaps the same family.

    3. The next quarterly (usually) revision of the Old Pendleton District Database cd will be mailed on 15 March 2001. All outstanding requests will be filled at that time. The OPD Database is a project of the Old Pendleton District Chapter/SCGS and is based on a single gedcom containing over 300,000 names of those who lived in the OPD (+ancestors+descendants). The OPD was comprised of the area now occupied by the 3 westernmost counties of SC. Adjacent counties are GA and NC in addition to SC. To see more about the OPDC/SCGS, see: http://oldpendleton.homestead.com/index.html To see more about the inexpensive OPD database cd, see: http://jrshelby.com/opdcd/ This cd project had prior approval by Rootsweb before its initiation.

    3. Dear Temple researchers: We tried to sent attached photos that we suspect maybe Seabron & Rebecca Temples's house c. 1900 and possible 50th Wedding Anniversary photo c. 1893 for help identifying them. They lived in Edgefield Co, SC all their lives. Because of the size of these files, many messages were bounced. To even send these file at all, I had to reduce their size by over half to about the size of a post card. I would recommend that interested parties should contact me directly and I will arrange for copies to be mailed to them in the larger format. This has all been very furstrating when we are trying to get this out via the internet to many viewers to help with identifying these pictures. I appreciate all those who have contacted me so far. It makes you wonder who the FBI gets out their "Most wanted"? Robert Temples
