Bill, I have to tell you that this is a most excellent site!!!! My husbands ancestors were from Rutherford County. Thank you ever so much for posting this :-) I wish all counties had a cemetery site like this, it would make finding our ancestors so much easier :-)) Thanks :-) Jane [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "W. I'm with AOL and using Digest mode and it still comes in one listing and I scroll through. The size increase would result in slightly fewer digests files over time. But, if it makes digests less convenient to use, I'll change it back to the smaller size. Steve Coker Forum Manager

I receive e mails in the digest mode . When I used to open them all of the messages would appear and I could just scroll down them but now when I open them they show up as attachments which have to be opened individually Needless to say, I much preferred the old way. My question is this-- Is this change a result of something I may have inadvertently done ,such as changed an option on my Outlook Express, or is this controlled by how the list configures the digest mode. Thanks for any help offered. Bill Neville

I am from the line of Jesse Lazarus McLeod and first wife Rosa Ives. Lori is a descendant through his second wife, Maggie Josey. Her site is a wonderful resource, but as for J.L. (also named Jesse Lazarus after his grandfather), son of James Ervin McLeod, it is all dead ends. He was married to my grandmother Eva Miller and they had four daughters, but he left the family when the youngest, my mother, was verysmall. I know he lived in Augusta, GA at some point and remarried at least once. But I don't know anything about his life or his other children. Hoping someone will see this and answer my questions about my grandfather I never knew.

I can't help you with the children of Jesse L. & Margaret , but I do have information about the other wife and the McLeod family in other lines. I would be particularly interested in knowing just where in Scotland, Angus and Nancy came from if someone has that info. My "own" James McLeod came from Isle of Skye, Scotland, through County Down, Ireland where he married Margaret Blakeley abt. 1773 or so, then moved to Sumter District, S. C.. This was a message gatewayed to [email protected] , so I do not know your name, but I will insert below some data and if you want more details on any of the lines of descent, contact me.
