    3. Nita, You mentioned a Mary Baucom from North Carolina. Do you know if she may have had a sister or family member named Judith or Judy Baucom? My GGG Grandmother was Judith Baucom and she married a Richmond Lee from Anson Co., N.C. I am not familiar with the Baucom name or the exact spelling of it. It seems there may have been several ways to spell it, but I have looked in the North Carolina census for Anson Co., N.C. and have seen several people with it spelled just as you have spelled it. I know if it a long shot but just wondered if you had heard of a Judith or Judy Baucom who married a Richmond Lee. 2. M. Young
    3. I am looking for the information on Mary ATKESON(or Atkinson) b. c. 1835 SC in hopes that it will shed light on my family line. She is living with Jesse B. LEVINING and wife, Martha Eliza DOWNING, in Williamsburg Co., SC in 1850. Mary then is listed as M. Levining in 1860 in Williamsburg Co., SC, again with this same family. After that, I can find neither her nor her "parents" in the census. Martha Eliza Downing Levining's brother-in-law, R. W. BURNS, is in the Williamsburg Co., SC census from 1850 through 1870. I am not sure if he remarries or his wife changes the name by which she is called, but in 1880, his widow is listed as Nancy Burns, living with 3 of "her" children in Georgetown, Georgetown Co., SC. I have heard suppositions that part of the family went to Florida, some to GA, and some to Clarendon Co., SC. Can anyone tell me anything about this Mary Atkeson or what might have happened to the Burns children?

    3. Nita, I am a descendent of John Stanley Smith of Stanly County, NC. He was killed and/or died and is buried at either Gettysburg or Pt. Lookout, Md. His wife was an Efird. He would have been my grandfather's grandfather. I do not know much about him before he was married but most of his descendents are still in Stanley Co, NC near Norwood. There is an annual get together of the Smith family every October at the Mt Zion Methodist Church in Stanley Co, NC Nancy Ward [email protected] wrote:HI I am searching for family of Richard Smithc 1825.
