I don't know if this will be of any help. I have no more on the Eden family and would like to know more regarding George Hutson. There has been published a book of deeds for this early period. Bonnie Reach, Alba, TX The first documentation of George Hutson we have was in 96 District of South Carolina, January 19, 1788, when he bought 140 acres from Alexander Eden and his wife, Molley, on waters of Carrock Creek, waters of Saluda River, and the transaction was witnessed by William Blyth and Joseph Harden, August 24, 1793. George Hutson served on the Petit jury in Pendleton County, South Carolina on January 24, 1792. Later, George acquired 240 acres on Olenoy Creek of the Saluda River, originally part of a grant to P. Hutson and near today's Pumpkintown. December 14, 1801, Book L., page 236, Anderson Co., South Carolina, he sold 240 acres on Woolenoy Creek to John Neal. George and Creasey signed with Xs. Witnessed by Moses Hopper and P. Mulkey. (Also see Bulletin #47, page 92.) P. Hutson is unknown. 1790 Census Ninety-six District, Pendleton Co.
