Hi At a Brookshire family reunion Sunday,I saw a copy of an original handwritten document,by an attorney,on behalf of the plantiff,Elizabeth Prince,concerning land left by Charles Prince when he died in Dec 1892. The document listed the defendants as: Rebecca Chumbler (this may be Rebecca Prince,also a sister to Charles Prince ? ). and a predeceased brother's children,listed as Ida (Prince) Massingale,Ella (Prince) Brookshire and Foreman Mauldin Prince. These are the children of Jesse Prince b.1832 d.1865 (Union prision camp,bur.in Louisville,KY.) m.Eleanora "Nellie" Kelly b.Dec.13 1836 d.May 21 1917 bur.Mt.Zion cem.Central,Pickens co.SC. This is the first documented proof that I have seen that Jesse Prince was a brother to Charles Prince. This document was found in the home of the family that Lou Ella Prince Brookshire lived with before her death. These Prince families were in the Twelve Mile area on or near Rice's or Reece's mountain. Does anyone have information to share on these families. Thanks for any help Gay
