Traci, There was a list in, I believe, the top drawer, but it listed only part of the names in that drawer. I found parts of files lying on top of the files. No one offered me an index to the records. I might add, the workers were very cordial. At many courthouses, they are not . I am researching Joshua Cox, his wife Mary and their children - John, Miranda (m. Margaret Moore), Gabriel H. (m. Mary Ann Williams), Greenberry F. (m. Mary A. ?), Jane (m. George Naves), Elizabeth (m. John Emmett Loden), Robert Harvey (m. Mary Ann Glore 2. Hannah Glore), Rhoda Ester (m. George William Glore), Zachariah Baylis (m. Amanda Glore), and Manirva (m. Littleton Edge). I would love to know about any of these names listed in the indexes. I found one document on Joshua involving a law suit and one on John E. Loden involving another, but that's all I could dig out in so short a time. If anyone knows Mary's maiden name, would appreciate the information. It's probably Evatt or Oldham. Would also love to know who Joshua and Mary's parents were. I know Joshua had a brother named Robert R. Cox..............Gail
