I only got to spend about an hour today.. hoping to go back tomorrow.. they closed at 6.. I looked for an obit for David.. He died within a couple of weeks of my gggf.. but neither of them were in the Pickens Sentinel.. Doesn't mean they didn't have one, just not that paper. Any clues as to what area they lived in? The 1880 census was pretty much unreadable. So faint I couldn't make out the writing.. I was hoping to find some of my people there too. How did you get the Culbertson or Simmons name?
