    3. Hi, While I don't have the name - Powell RIGGINS - in my husband's tree, I can tell you that the Robert GAINES listed was probably my hubby's 3rd great-grandfather (who married Frances FEATHERSTONE). Bright GILSTRAP b. c1797 was married to Elizabeth MORGAN and their son John Ambrose GILSTRAP was connected, through marriage, to my husband's WINCHESTER line. Have you posted this will to ROOTS-L or anywhere on-line? I'd like to read it, if so. Thanks, Janice Mauldin Castleman ----- Original Message ----- From: Larry & Linda Lamb To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, June 29, 2001 6:53 AM Subject: [SCPICKENS] People listed in the Will of Powell Riggins In reading over the will of Powell Riggins, I find a lot of names that I know have come across this list at one time or another and thought maybe some of you can tell me how they tie in with Powell Riggins (who was my3 great grandfather) ..... Bright Gilstrap Robert Gaines ..... Don't know if these are son in laws, grandchildren or what. A couple of the names I did weed out, as I knew them to be his son in law's. Thanks for any help. Linda P.S. Powell Riggins died in 1845 and most of this paper work is dated 1845, 1846 and 1847. ______________________________

    3. Hi Janice, Lorene and all, I was planning on typing up this will and list it, but parts of it I can not make out at all. I would hate to leave anything out. That would probably be the part that someone else would need. I thought by posting the names that was listed would tie in with some of the in laws or grandchildren. It tells that this one was left a sow and the next one was left a bore and one was left a pair of jeans. It is so odd that everything was listed in such detail. Lorene, you mentioned Stewart, I find a Jacob L. Stewart( is this Jacob Lewis Stewart, or is your's just named Jacob Lewis?) who married Clorinda Riggins. Clorinda was a grand daughter of Powell Riggins. Clorinda's father was Allen Alexander Riggins. Hope this helps, Linda Janice Mauldin Castleman wrote: > Hi, > > While I don't have the name - Powell RIGGINS - in my husband's tree, I can tell you that the Robert GAINES listed was probably my hubby's 3rd great-grandfather (who married Frances FEATHERSTONE).
