Hi Dave, I am also related to the SC Gillespie family via Prudence Gillespie, who married William Dobson (4 Nov 1900) in Pickens County. They were married by the Magistrate B.D. Garvin, who married pretty much everyone around that time! :-) William was the son of my Great Grandfather, the Rev. James Dobson, who according to the Pickens Sentinel, married H.N. Manley and Ida Rogers at the home of Mansel Gillespie (all of Pickens.) One big happy family back then!
