There were a number of BORENS in OPD by the 1800 Census. I have some info on them if you are interested although I have no specific info on Katie. John BOREN left w/most of his family abt 1804 and migrated fr. OPD to Sumner Co., TN and Warren Co., KY. Several of the children married into my MILLER line. Two daughters, Margaret and Catherine, married Michael and Morris MILLER as well as one of the BOREN boys married a MILLER girl. I also have some info on the POWELLS - a line of my cousin's that I have done some research on. There was an Angeline THOMAS who md. a POWELL, but prob. too late to belong to your Mary Angeline. The ALEXANDERS are a huge family in the Pickens Dist. area of OPD. I have lots of info on them as my GG-G'mother MILLER was an ALEXANDER bef. her marriage. It says her father is Jeremie Powell and mother is Katie Boren. Are there any Alexander's or Powell's out there can find out any information on Katie Boren Powell? She was born about 1825 in SC. I find them in Macon Co, NC in 1850. But, I am assuming that they were born in the Pickens portion of the OPD. I have not checked 1860 Jackson or Henderson Co, NC census for this family. There seems to be several families of Boren's in SC/NC during this time period, although, attempts to connect them have failed. They appear to be related as they intermarried into the same families of Patterson, Powell, Chappell, Holcombe, etc. Some of the females are married, some not. ANY info appreciated.
