    1. [SCPICKENS] Depriest/Chappell--Pickens Co, SC
    2. Hi! I am cross-posting to several lists, so please forgive the multiple emails. I am looking for any information on Elias and Elizabeth ???? Depriest. They were in Pickens Co, SC in 1850 census-Eastern Division, Elias as 23 and Elizabeth as 21, both born in SC. I have a pic of a Liz Daprice in the early 1910's with Lucinda Chappell Patterson and her children. Liz and Lucinda look quite a bit alike. I am wondering if Liz is the missing Chappell female I have been looking for. Abigail Boren Chappell stated in 1900 Pickens Co, SC census that she had 12 children with 8 living. Other researchers and I have documented 11 children with 7 living. In 1840 Pickens, there is a female child 10-15 in the household of James Chappell. By 1850 Pickens census, she is not listed. Perhaps already married and living with her husband. I find mention of Depriest's in Pickens Co, but cannot find them after 1860. Also, a Luther Depriest, born abt 1905, married a Cora Elizabeth Chappell. I cannot connect this Cora Elizabeth Chappell to my line of Chappell's and I have a few Cora's in my database. If anyone has any information on the Depriest (or any variation of the surname) in the Pickens Co, SC area, please email me at: paca1509@aol.com Thanks!! Patricia A.
