Does anyone have any background on any of the many JONES families who were members of Peters Creek Baptist Church, in the Dacusville area of Pickens Co, SC? I have been reading their records, and there were more than a few JONES there in the 1830-1840s. I am seaching for my Rachel Rebecca JONES' parents, and I thought I would look around near the part of Greenville, SC, where she and her husband lived. At Peters Creek Church, there was a Vann JONES, Butler JONES or Butter JONES, John JONES, Zachariah JONES. This church is listed in the Archives for Pickens Co. at the www.SCGenweb.com site in the event anyone wants to see it. Thanks for any info on them! Dolores

Most of the Jones buried at Peters Creek are descendants of Joel Jones and Jame McElreath. A good friend has been researching the family, but is on our list.
