I told ya'll I was in love with this place... the people, the trees, the history, the trees... did I mention trees <G>? I still have your phone I believe... My phone is being hooked up tomorrow and satelite with ultra fast speed by next week... The sites will/should be back online by midweek... its been crazy and I had a hang up with the new laptop I got (had to exchange it) but its here now so as soon as I get that set up, we will be rocking and rolling... Ive been scouting cemeteries and will get each and everyone photographed before I leave.. both Oconee and Pickens County... With three cameras we ought to be able to get this done pretty fast... plus several people offered to help so we will get it done quick... Also plan to hit the courthouses on rainy days and scan as many index books as I can... Also hit every museum/history center I can and make copies for later transcriptions.... We will need more transcribers at that point... we have lots of volunteers but we sure will need more... Anyway on a borrowed phone line so I need to sign off... Will call when I get hooked up...
