    3. Lake Hartwell affected both GA & SC. The graves of David Sloan and family had to be moved. Their homesite, settled after the Revolution, is under water. Fortunately, a descendant, took pictures of the old home in the 1930s when he raised money among descendants to clean up the family graveyard. So the original tombstone was moved to the new site. His wife, Susannah Majors Sloan's, tombstone had to be replaced with a newer one.
