    3. Hi! I am looking for any information on a John Winters, Senr. who was living in Pickens District in 1830. There are 2 John Winter's listed in the Pendleton District census for 1820 and 1 in the 1810. A court document has come my way with the arrest of John Winters, Senr. for assault against Elizabeth Boren on 20 October 1830 in Pickens District. Three days later, on 23 October 1830, John Boren put up an appearance bond for his wife Elizabeth to appear at the March Term 1831 court session. In the March 1831 court, a No Bill was given and the charges thrown out. I have found a John Winters married to an Elizabeth Bowen about 1824 while searching the internet. I am supposing this to be John Winters, Junr. Since the senior John Winters was married to a Mary, and John Boren puts up the recognizance bond, could this possibly be Elizabeth Boren that may have been divorced from John Winters? The Boren and Bowen surnames are often interchanged in later records of Pickens District/County. My interest in all of this is the Boren line that I am researching in Pendleton/Pickens District. There are many Boren's there that seem to be related in some way, but I cannot for the life of me connect them all. Does anyone have any information on the Winter family from this area? If so, please email me at: pacant1104@yahoo.com Thanks!! Patricia Cantrell Columbus, GA pacant1104@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
