Henry Gaines, 1737-1830, and Ann Martha George, 1734-1801, both born in VA and died in SC. Their son, William Larkin Gaines married Elizabeth Stevens Powell and they both died in TN. Another of their sons, Robert Gaines, had a daughter Elizabeth, 1816-1893, that married Tyre Balaam Mauldin. My line is through another son, Richard George Gaines. Rev. Henry Gaines' brother, Edmund Pendleton Gaines, married Tabitha Rucker. They both died in Madison Co, VA. I have not proven any of this information and is as it came to me.
