However, to the average Joe with a PC would consider this cemetery to be located in the City of Clemson or on the campus of Clemson University. I'm helping a Eagle Scout candidate with his community project. He's going to restore what I call the General Pickens Slave Cemetery that is located on Old Cherry Road near Lake Hartwell - within the University's Poultry Center - in with the chickens & turkeys. There are two readable tombstone inscriptions and I'm trying to prove that Hannah was a Slave. To change the subject - I'm collecting white-paper donations for a History WebPage that I'm putting together for my Oconee County GenWeb Project. Seeing that you know something about the Clemson area... seeing that the University area and south belonged to Oconee prior to 1968... would you have any papers that you would like to donate and have preserved in the GenWeb Archives?
