Hi all - Has anyone every heard of Pole Bridge (or Ridge) Forks? My 6g grandfather had land there in 1790s. As near as we can figure, it is somewhere between Easley and Greenville and is associated with Georges Crrek. Thanks much for any assistance, Dave Jones
Dave, If you don't get any info on this, let me know. My daddy grew up fairly near the George's Creek area, and I will ask him. I remember several old bridges around there that are gone now. Just let me know, and I'll ask him. He likes to be able to tell me where these places were. Look forward to hearing from you, and I will send you a couple of pictures aft. my son goes back to Clemson Univ. on Tues. Hi Dave The USGS site says there's a stream named Pole Bridge Branch in Spartanburg County. And a Pole Branch, Polecat Branch, Polecat Creek, Polecat Bay, Polecat Landing in various counties. But not Pickens County. Greens Creek is in Pickens and several other counties.
