    3. Last Will and Testament of Joseph Wood SC - Pickens Co. (WPA Transcription) South Carolina } Pickens District} Know all men by these Presents, that I, Joseph Wood, of South Carolina and Pickens County being in my sound reasons as common yet having a view of death before me, I make and own this as my last will and testament. After my death I desire that the Lord Jesus will take my soul to himself in glory and as to my affairs I want as mutch of my property sold as will pay my just debts then I allow all the children that I had by my first wife Lavisa to have one dollar a piece that is to say one dollar for Nancy and one dollar for Charity and one dollar for William and one dollar for Easter and one dollar for Solomn and one dollar for Winny and one dollar for Isaiah and one dollar for Catherine and one dollar for lavisa and what is left I want my present wife Mary to have to raise her children on. I want my wife to have the property or possession that have till her death unless she should marry again and if she should marry after my death I desire whatsoever remains of my property to be sold and divided as the law directs with the children that Mary my wife has bore to me. If my wife should remain unmarried till her death if their be any property yet remain let her children divide it equal among them this being my last will and testament.
