Traci, If you are in Pickens, give me a call. Did you bring the tombstones? I want to pay you for them. I look forward to meeting you in person. Sonia

I have limited data on Pickens Co. after 1860. From the data I have on the 1870 Census, there is no Richard. If you have further info on him, I will check further.
John Byram has attempted to find every Byram in America and list them all in his book "Byrams in America." I searched through the book, but I could not find your Arthur or Louise. If you contacted John, he might have some information acquired since the last edition of the book was published. Even if he doesn't have the information you are looking for, I think he would probably like to have the information that you have on your branch so that he could include it in the next edition. His e-mail is [email protected] Good luck in your search. Sorry I could not be of more help. Caroll J. Miller
Yes I have seen the book. But I am not sure that Sam was correct. Have found error's in what he says here and there. I have just a few pages from the book and the one in question. Figuring up William's age from various as I recall it would make Henry about 15 years old when William was born and I think this would be too young for a father to be. What do you think? In the book, does it say who Henry's dad was? I think William comes more being a brother to Henry then son. But at this point, nothing can be ruled out, cause of lack of proof all the way around. Cathy
Cathy, You may know this by now but William Watkins parents are supposed to be Henry Watkins born 1803 SC and Evaline? Both died in Lumpkin in 1891 and buried at the Hightower Baptist Church outside Dahlonega Georgia. A sister Polly Watkins married James Rider, brother to Martha, Williams' wife. I recently purchased a book by Dr. Samuel Rider. He has written a great deal on the Riders and there is some Watkins information. Have you seen this book? Aaron

Have you ever heard of Arthur James Byram born around 1837, enlisted in Civil War 11-13-1861, his wife was JoAnna (Joana?) Gustavins Monson and had a daughter Louise, I don't know if Louise had siblings. Louise married my grandfather Leroy Monroe Nagle - he was born 1888,
