Hi there, having just had a brief discussion about the quietness of this list, I thought I'd post a few questions. I am looking for information about the pits in Wallyford 1880 onwards. My g grandfather worked as a miner there from 1881 (approx) and lived in New Row, Wallyford. Since all the houses around him in the 1881 and 1891 census were occupied by miners I assumes they were miners houses! ? Are there any records that can be searched about these pits? I would like to know the owners and if there is any records kept available for searching about employees, the pay rates etc. thanks Ruth
