Thanks for the list showing the coal mines in these areas - I am trying to determine when my grandparents arrived in Scotland from Ireland - they were married in Ireland in 1901. I found the listing for Linrigg mine at Newhouse very interesting since birth certificates of six of their children (maybe more) were born at Linrigg Row, Salsburgh, Shotts.
