Could anyone tell me which mine or mines would have employed a resident of Bellshill from around 1892 to 1914? Needless to say it would have been within walking distance of home (now ~150 Clydesdale Road). I know that the name of the local pub was "The Cage"! A couple of years ago, I met the owners of the re-named pub, (Samoyed?) and had a wee draft in honour of the miners. TIA, Elizabeth
