Hello, everyone! I'm looking for any information about some of my families who worked in the central/southern Ayrshire coalfields in the middle of the 19th century. Ayr/Newton,Tarbolton, Dalrymple, Wallacetown, the Cumnocks, Kirkmichael, Coylton, Patna, etc.. The names I am interested in are: Owen Burns and family James Lowrie/Laurie and family McSevney - many of this name David Findlay and family James Niven McKay and family James Gourlay and family I'm trying to find out more about their mining activities and wonder if anyone has any information which might include reference to any of these names Regards, J.
