His parents were Ann SMITH and John FEARGRIEVE3. This John is listed as a collier on their marriage record 12 Mar 1840 by Rev. John Ramsey. I believe John and Ann had eight children. I believe Janet JOHNSTON and John FEARGRIEVE2 were married 25 Nov 1816 in the same area, number of children unknown to me. I believe Margaret RANKIN married John FEARGRIEVE1 (born ca. 1770) in same area, number of children unknown to me.
