Sam, if I have dropped you a line in the past, please excuse me. Chalk it up to old age--I don't mean to be a pest. I am the coordinator for the Scott Family DNA project. You listed several names in a Scot-L posting that several of us have in our families: Thomas, Andrew, James, Samuel. If you have any interest in our project, send me an e-mail. So far we have over 25 Scott males who have been tested. Several of us have a common ancestor (discovered by the DNA test) and we work together as a group to try and help the others. Thanks for your time. Charlie Scott, Louisville, KY PS: My line goes like this: John Scott (born in 1706) came to America out of Ireland in 1745 and settled in PA. He later removed to Gilford Co., NC and some of his family lived in Washington Co., VA. Thomas, his son, fought in the Battle of Kings MT. during the Rev. War and then settled in KY. The rest of my line includes: Harvey, William C., William, William Lee, and Charles. My DNA matches some of those who have Thomas, Andrew, and Matthew in their lines. SAR # 163263
