Here is my brickwall. Have you ran into this situation in your tree? You begin to study your Surname and you discover many generations has tagged your ancestor to the wrong guy? That is my situation regarding my 3rd Great Grandfather, Horace M. Scott who was born about 1798, NY and lived in Bridgewater, Oneida Co, NY 1830 & 1840. By 1850 or so he left for Rock County, WI I believe him to be the son of Edmund and Martha who many Scott's have thier son listed as the Horace Scott which resided in Chenango Co who was born 1798, Massachusetts. My Horace married Betsy and she passed away before the family went west to WI. Thank you, Sandy
