My SCOTTs were in Ayrshire or nearby. On 14/11/1801 a John SCOTT married Agnes PARRATT. They had a number of children including: Hugh christened 5/9/1802 John christened 9/4/1804 Adam christened 1/2/1807 Jean christened 12/8/1812. John SCOTT was a shoemaker.
