Could any of the VA Scotts possibly be related to the John Thomas Scotts of SC?? I am looking for any info on relationships prior to 1780 of Scotts, Mitchells, Downings, Boyds, Lewises, Linn(Lynn)s, Smiths and Lees. This couple had a son named JAMES D SCOTT b abt 1856 who was a well-known merchant at PACOLET SC and is buried in the New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Jonesville, Union Co SC after dying in 1901-3??
