My brick wall is William Scott who married Mary Lee of Whitfield, Northumberland, England on May 24, 1783. They had 8 children that I know of: 1. William Scott, b. abt. 1788 at Stonehall, near Knarsdale, Northumberland 2. John Scott, b. abt. 1790, Stonehall 3. Mary Scott, b. Dec. 6, 1791, Stonehall 4. Joseph Scott, b. July 1, 1794, Stonehall 5. John Scott, b. May 4, 1799, Stonehall. Married Elizabeth Cousin, b. abt 1806 in Allendale, Northumberland, on July 1, 1826 in Alston, Cumberland. 6. Elizabeth Scott, b. March 23, 1801, Stonehall 7. Isabella Scott, b. Nov. 27, 1804, Stonehall 8. Isaac Scott, b. Aug. 1, 1806, Stonehall; d. bef. 1851. Married Mary Robinson, b. abt. 1811 in Alston, on Dec. 9, 1830 in Alston. There was at least another son in the family, since parish records list John (1799) as the 5th son and Isaac and the 6th, but I have no information on him. Linda Iben
