Hi Kim, Do you know where in ROX your Robert is from? I have a Robert b 28 March 1791 Sington/Singdean , baptized 29 April in Castleton. (brother to my ggg-grandfather William Scott) William's family also went to Ontario - a daughter to Paisley, Bruce Co and two sons (mine) to Ayr, Waterloo Co. (down the road from you), and one son James I have not found (b 1822). I do not know if any of his siblings (gen 2) - and their families - also went to Ontario. Trouble is, these are very common names. 1. Thomas Scott b abt 1763 + Helen Pott marr 27 April 1788 Castleton - Thos of Cavers and Helen of Castleton (interesting to note, there is a Jean Scott also of Cavers marrying James Cavers of Hawick June 1st - listed on the same page of the OPR - I see that you have a Jean in your line) 2. Helen b 10 April 1789 (all born Sington except Thos - Todscleughside, all bapt at Castleton) Robert b 28 March 1791 *William b 8 Sept 1797 + Isabel White (married in Melrose) James b 3 Feb 1799 Thomas b 15 July 1801 After William shows up in Melrose OPR with marriage to Isabel - not sure if rest of family went there also.
