My brick wall is Thomas Scott.Born in Ireland about 1812/13.Married an Agnes born 1822/23.She was also from Ireland.They had a daughter,Mary Elizabeth,born 1852/53.And a son Thomas Jr.born 1865/66.Mary had a son Joseph J.Smith.born April 1873.He was my grandfather.In the 1880 census for New York City,Thomas Sr. worked for the US Post Office.He was 68 years old.Agnes was 57.I am looking for any relatives of Thomas Scott Jr.He was listed as being 14 yrs.old in 1880 and was a carpenter.I don't know when Thomas and Agnes came to America but they always lived in New York City,(Yorkville).Have tried NARA to see if they have Postal Records of employees back that far but no luck.Can not find them in the 1900 census.Anybody have any ideas or suggestions as to what I should try next?
