Joyce: I ran across your note and can't find where I answered you about your Sarah. My apology for taking so long. You stated that a Sarah Scott was listed in 1850 Jefferson City, Ohio census as the mother of 5, no father listed. Children were Jesse, William W., Elizabeth M., Henrietta, Amanda. If this is the link to my Jesse Scott, here is what I have. I know my GGrandfather, Jesse Scott, was born in 1820, died Dec 3, 1872, in Delaware Twp., IN. He married Susan Wilkins, b. May 21, 1820, d. Sep 9, 1868, also in Delaware Twp. They had at least one child, Martha M. (Mary) Scott, b. Oct. 16, 1850 in Stout (now called Bethel), IN. She married my Great grandfather, William Harrison Cummins in Muncie, IN, in 1868. In 1875 the Cummins family moved from IN to KS, and Mary died in 1890 in a hospital in Kansas City, MO. Two of their four children lived, Cora and Orville (my grandfather). It is also interesting that after Mary's death, my Great Grandfather married Nettie Howard of West Jefferson, OH. Even returned there for the wedding. Do you think any of this links? Patrick Stover Cummins Fairfax, VA Researching Cummins, Comyn, Hamilton, Scott, Kraft, Stover, Lewallen
